Research On Network Potential And Innovation Performance In Innovation Alliance

In the economic situation of the rapid development of science and technology as well ashigh uncertainty of the market, scientific and technological cooperation between the mainbody of science and technology have become the trend of the times. And the main body ofscientific and technological cooperation forms in their network. Innovative alliance, as animportant form of scientific and technological cooperation, has been accepted and adopted bymore and more enterprises and organizations. In the process of the formation and operation ofthe whole alliance, because the different ability of each member dealing with their relations,the difference of key resources of the alliance controlling and the difference of image positionamong other members, all these directly lead to the difference of a member’s networkpotentiality. The existence among the members’ network position difference causes thedifference of other members’ cooperation degree influencing the achievement of members inthe league and innovation performancet.This study focuses on innovation alliance member network potential, alliance innovationperformance, the member of the knowledge sharing willingness and ability of knowledgesharing regulation, deeply analyzes the internal mechanism which alliance network potentialimpacts innovation performance. This study is based on social network and knowledgemanagement theory, establishes the theoretical model of network potential on allianceinnovation performance, and takes150collaborative innovation enterprises as samples, andverifies structural equation model.Main work and conclusions of this study can be summarized as the following aspects:(1) This study is based on the perspective of management of league network potential. Inalliance formation and operation process, because of each member dealing with their relationsin the network capacity, the difference of key resources of controlling the alliance and thedifference of image position directly lead to the difference of network potential.(2) It concludes that network potential in innovation alliance league has a positiveinfluence on acquiring its own knowledge and the whole innovation performance. From the alliance network potential difference causing leaguer opportunity, the research deeplyanalyzes the relationship between network potential of acquiring performance and the wholeinnovation performances.(3) Empirical study shows that the more powerful of obtaining willingness and ability,the smaller network potential impacting on innovation performance, the stronger of sharingwillingness and sharing ability, the greater the network potential impacting on innovationperformance.The study finds that there is some difference between sharing willingness andsharing ability in the process of knowledge sharing. Therefore, this study deeply discusses thesharing willingness and sharing ability in the process of innovation performance.
