This paper mainly analyzed the competitiveness of engineering project management enterprise. Focused on definition of enterprise competitiveness, elements, cultivating and developing, this paper summarizes the indicators of enterprise competitiveness. According to this paper, the engineering project management enterprise will be divided into the knowledge-based enterprises. Combining the characteristics and status analysis of engineering project management enterprise in China with the one in foreign developed countries, it analyzes different characteristics of management models(DBB, EPC, EPCM) adopted by international and domestic engineering project management enterprise as well as the opportunity and challenge. It comes to a conclusion that operation strategy and technology innovation are the determinants of enterprise competitiveness by using the methods of qualitative analysis and establishes analysis method by comparing the elements’characteristics and actual situation. This paper determines the key of whole project management that is enterprise strategy and micro body project manager, importance of enterprise operation strategy in the project planning phase and enterprise resource optimization configuration. It also analyzes the choice of project manager and the law of development at project implementation stage. The paper emphasizes on the importance of competitiveness’s different elements at project implementation stage. At bidding stage, through the analysis of a real case, project management of Intel F68in M+W Group, enterprise competitiveness is to communicate with landlord by using its accumulated resource and determines final solution. At the beginning of the project, the competitiveness is how to choose the project manager and how to use the project manager to ensure the implementation. In the middle of the project, the competitiveness is to use appropriate incentive restriction policy, give full play to the project team cooperation ability and strive to reach goals. At the late period of the project, according to the feedback from landlord and customer, summarizing the project knowledge on knowledge of science and technology innovation can make the enterprise sustainable development and consolidate and improve the competitiveness of enterprises. This will transfer the accumulated project experience into enterprise unique competitiveness. In the whole period of project management comprehensive process control system should be brought to play and the enterprise develops under the overall strategy guide. At last it verifies the theory study of project management enterprise competitiveness.
