The rapid industrialization and growth of many countries around the world has spurred the development of supply chains. This has provided opportunities for manufacturers to cut costs and be closer to emerging and high growth markets but it has also created new risks. Moreover, as supply chains become more and more dependent on the efficient movement of materials among facilities that are geographically dispersed, there is more opportunity for disruption. The common disruption events are such as fire, earthquake, and hurricane, etc. Meanwhile, new catastrophic accidents, major public healthy affairs and social security incidents surface one after another. That these unconventional risks break up will lead to unstable operation of supply chain, and even destroy the entire supply chain. We have difficult in timely copying with disruption events afterwards in the matter of its outburst and randomness. Therefore, it has important value and significance to research on how to make supply network.This paper takes supply network resilience under failure risk environment as the research objects. The paper finishes the work in the following five aspects.(1) This paper introduces the background of this paper, formulate the important value as well as significance and make a review of the literatures on supply chain risk management and study situation of design of supply network.(2) This paper elaborates supply network vulnerability, supply network resilience and formulate design principles of resilient supply network under disruption events.(3) This paper models resilient supply network of abrupt change in supply channel based on disruption events. Combining emergency management, this model not only brings in option suppliers as a complement, but also considers the failure of base suppliers and logistics providers. Finally, this paper makes the two functions of model---production and transportation costs as well as disruption costs to achieve optimal profile through specific computation example.(4) Considering use of option contract and reliability of suppliers, this paper models resilient supply network based on option cost and disruption events. Then this paper checks the model and makes the sensitivity analysis to two parameters---costumer service level as well as the number of period through specific computation example.(5) At the end of the paper, it summarizes the main findings and conclusions, major contribution and limitations and requiring work for further research.
