Textile and apparel industry is an important livelihood industry. During the “TwelfthFive-Year Plan” period, China’s textile industry will face greater challenges. Studies haveshown that GF Textile Company’s competitive advantages have been weakened and threaten.Through analysis of various factors facing GF Textile, and clearly adjusting the focus ofbusiness strategy, enabling enterprises to take timely and effective targeted measures.This thesis uses SWOT analysis method. First, the environment companies are facing,including industrial environment and macro environment, and the coexistence of threat andopportunity are discussed in details. Secondly, a systematic analysis is conducted on variousresources within the enterprise, and uses the above analysis as foundation to proposedevelopment strategy for enterprise management. This paper uses literature research method,the combination of theory and practice, and methods of data analysis. Comprehensive dataof China’s textile and garment enterprises were collected, especially the strategic managementtheory and practical information of garment enterprises, and a summarized analysis of theirexperiences and lessons learned were conducted. The use of advanced international businessstrategy theory, combined with GF Textile’s situation, proposed suitable business strategy forGF Textile: vigorously developing new chitin textile fabrics, changing the situation of highconcentration of customers, enriching and improving the marketing network, and thusoccupying the commanding heights of the apparel retail industry. Companies shouldsafeguard and build brands, and enhance core competitiveness through marketing network,suppliers, supply chain, talent strategy and risk management.By analyzing the challenges that the textile and garment export enterprises are facing, ithelps GF Textile to identify and solve existing problems in a timely manner. It also helpsenterprises accurately grasp the prospect of changing trends, in order to achieve the dynamicmanagement of enterprise development strategies. At the same time provides a good referencefor other domestic textile and garment enterprises.
