Since the border trade was restored in1987, SuiFenhe City has been adhering to the development ideas of "Trade for flourisng, rich people and prosperous city and constructing a modern international business center", implementing the five major strategies of large thoroughfare, economy and trade in great scale, large market, large processing industry, large tourism, emancipating the mind, united and striving, advancing with the Times, speeding up the development. In the1990s, with the development of border trade, border tourism has gradually become the pillar industry of the economic development of SuiFenhe city. On the basis of the development of border tourism, business travel, tourism and shopping trips and other forms of tourism are synchronized which have played an important role in the economic development of SuiFenhe city. After nearly30years of development, SuiFenhe border tourism has made great progress, gradually forming the border tourism development model with the characteristic of SuiFenhe. But in the face of opportunities and challenges, especially under the new situation of china-Russia relations changing, there are still some problems to be solved in the SuiFenhe-Russian border tourism development, the development mode still needs constantly innovating.This dissertation takes the SuiFenhe-Russian border tourism as the research object, by the instruction of the related theory of border tourism, by reviewing the history, based on the present, with the advantage, summing up experience and lessons, this dissertation constructs a new theoretical framework on the development of SuiFenhe-Russian border tourism.
