Agricultural modernization means capital instead of labor，and it transformsfrom a self-sufficient smallholder economy to the market-oriented transformationof agricultural. Modern agriculture refers to the socialization of agriculture whichwidely uses the modern science and technology,modern industry production andscientific management methods.Realizing agricultural modernization is in order to build a new socialistcountryside, and its necessary requirement is to promote the stable development ofgrain production and sustained increase in rural incomes. Backward rural is thebackward economy in the first place. In order to change the backwardness in ruralareas and build a new socialist countryside, the priority is to speed up theconstruction of modern agriculture, develop the rural economy and the ruralproductivity, improve the farmers’ living standard and life quality.Nationwide, China’s agriculture is still in the transition stage that transformsfrom traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, and the task of promotingagricultural modernization is still a long way. However, with the liberalization ofrural production factors, the modern agriculture will usher in an unprecedentedopportunity. In this paper, first of all, with the construction of agriculturalmodernization in Xiaogan as the prototype, discusses some problems encounteredin the process of building modernized agriculture and the corresponding specificmeasures, then compares the current situation of the construction of agriculturalmodernization between Xiaogan and the other cities in China, finally, from thelarger span, compares the current situation of the construction of agriculturalmodernization between our country and other countries, through the studies onvarious aspects, eventually, finds a better plan for the construction of agriculturalmodernization in our country.
