Research On The Status And Development Of Peach Industry In Xiaogan City,Hubei Province

Xiaogan City,located in the northeast of Hubei Province and southern foot of Dabie Mountain,the climate,soil,water resources,and other natural conditions of which are suitable for large-scale planting of peach trees,playing an important role in the development of China’s peach industry as one of the four famous peach production bases.With the promotion of rural revitalization,the special breeding industry is being paid more and more attention.As a special agricultural industry in Xiaogan,the development of the peach industry can not only promote local economic development but also drive farmers to increase their income.However,there are still many problems and shortcomings in the development and there is still a gap compared to some strong peach-producing cities in and outside Hubei Province.Therefore,it is very important to analyze the development status of the peach industry in Xiaogan City,sort out the defects and shortcomings and propose corresponding feasible countermeasures according to the problems.Guided by the theory of agglomeration economy and industrial organization,this paper introduced the general situation and the history of the development of the peach industry in Xiaogan City on the basis of a large amount of information collected about peach trees.On-the-spot investigation was adopted to investigate and analyze the current situation and development of peach industry in Xiaogan City,systematically outlining the current situation of peach cultivation,processing,and marketing,and introducing the economic,social,and cultural benefits brought by the peach industry to Xiaogan City.The advantages and disadvantages of the development of the peach industry in Xiaogan,as well as the opportunities and threats it faces,are comprehensively studied through SWOT analysis,and the problems in the development of the peach industry in Xiaogan are identified: the low degree of industrial organization;the low degree of standardized production;the need to strengthen government functions;the relatively limited sales channel;and the low degree of agricultural industrialization.It also combines theory with practice,making the best of its advantages and exploiting opportunities,to put forward development proposals to address the existing problems: improving the degree of industrial organization,strengthening the standardization of production,strengthening government leadership,accelerating the development of e-commerce sales channels and promoting the construction of industrialized markets.The scientific planning and layout for the development of the peach industry in Xiaogan City offer a proposal for the development of peach industrialization in Xiaogan City,which is of good reference significance for promoting the development of the peach industry in Xiaogan City,improving the income of the majority of peach growers and driving the city’s economic development.
