Analysis On Status Quo And Development Trend Of Corn Consumption In China

This paper study on China’s corn consumption trend and the security situation, the research shows that the safety corn consumption is facing the security risks of balance of supply and demand, foreign trade, inventory consumption, and price fluctuation. by building production fluctuation index, yield planting cost, price volatility index, demand fluctuation index, total supply and demand balance rate, consumption of inventory ratio, foreign trade dependence security monitoring and early warning indicators, we comprehensively analysis and evaluate China’s corn consumption safety condition. Results show that China’s corn production and consumption in the index mostly are without warning or light warning state, and corn consumption security better overall health since2004. But corn production, frequent fluctuations of price index, consumption of inventory ratio decreased significantly, increasing foreign trade dependence, we predict that corn consumption safety risk will worsen in the future.
