China-Mexico Economic Relation:Competition And Opportunities

The rapid rise of the People’s Republic of China to the global superpower is also reflected in its relations with Mexico. Two decades ago, neither the mutual economic interests nor political connections were particularly significant. This has changed fundamentally. Decisive are the driving force behind economic relations. The attractiveness of Mexico is expected to continue to grow for China in the coming years, because the region produces strategic primary goods and can be used as a strategic place for Chinese products. However there are many differences and divergences in the relationship, so this means a challenge for both nations, in this research I will point out the problems and the current situation of the relation, as well as recommendations to strenghten the confidence.The research will identify challenges and opportunities for both countries. It aims at identification how these countries are competing to gain a part of the United States market, their comparative advantages, and at the same time it will show the cooperation between both countries.The research should be of interest for the industry, university, research institutes, policymakers in China and Mexico who are concerned with the opportunities and challenges of their relation. It is expected to serve as a good reference work for debates concerning public policy.It’s crucial to identify the strategies and choices of this two countries in the trade field and understand on which direction these economies are moving as a result of this new interaction.
