The Research Of China’s Foreign Trade Development Mode Transformation

The foreign trade of our country’s scale increases fast and economic growth rapidly since our country has been reformed and opening for thirty years, especially since the accession to the WTO, China’s foreign trade in the international market share is growing. Our country’s export and import value reached4.16trillion in2013,increasing7.6%over the same period last year, and trade in goods surpassed the United States for the first time, so China has become a veritable trade country. As a developing country, China ranks the first goods trade country of the world is a new milestone on the path of development of foreign trade, which is the significant achievements of the reform and opening up and participation in economic globalization. Although China has become the world’s largest trading country, we still has a long way to become a powerful trade country. Since China has been implementing the extensive economic growth mode, make the export be our primary objective, which resulting in a large proportion of exports of labor-intensive and resource-intensive, and less technology-intensive products with high added value; service trade is relatively backward to goods trade; international market implement more and more trade barriers to our export products. To solve these problems China must accelerate the transformation of foreign trade growth, which can result in China become powerful trade country from big trade country, other wise China’s trade development will be constrained by the limited global resources and international markets. Meanwhile the global economic crisis in2008brings a strong blow to our country, so change foreign trade development mode can not only be benefit to maintain the sustainable development of foreign trade in our country, but also be the basic way to achieve greater competitiveness in the international market.This paper first analyses the present foreign trade development mode, and then make a comparative analysis of foreign trade development mode transformation path between China and the United States, drawing China’s problem in foreign trade development mode, and then make an empirical analysis of China’s foreign trade development mode, at last we can have the relative opinions and measures about changing our country’s foreign trade development mode. The thesis is divided into six parts, the first chapter introduces the background and significance of the research and analysis of domestic and foreign literature, then point out the research ideas, innovations and shortcomings; in chapter2the essay elaborate relative traditional trade theory and international trade theory; in chapter3the essay analyzes the current situation of China’s foreign trade approach for analysis, including the scale, structure, quality and the competitiveness of foreign trade, and then analyzes the characteristics of China’s foreign trade development mode and manner of China’s foreign trade evaluation; in chapter4the essay analyze the transformation of foreign trade development mode between China and the United States, so we can get the problem of China’s foreign trade development mode; in chapter5the writer analyzes China’s foreign trade development mode through empirical analysis, we can find out that our country’s current foreign trade development mode’s transformation is limited by technology, human capital, industrial structure; in chapter6the essay point that China can achieve successful foreign trade development mode transformation through above effective factors.This paper valued our foreign trade development mode through theoretical analysis, and find out that there are many problems in our foreign trade development mode, including the unreasonable structure of foreign trade, service trade development lags behind, foreign trade area concentration on a few of countries. Then use the empirical analysis to research China’s foreign trade development level, it shows that the current level of China’s foreign trade development is mainly affected by the restriction of human capital. Since our country’s labor force quality is low, and we lack of scientific researchers, our factories’ products’ technologic added value is not high, their competitiveness in the international market is decreasing since the global market pay more and more attention on goods’ quality. To solve these problems we should fasten the transformation of foreign trade development mode, we must expand the market, optimizing the structure, development service trade, and also we should put more investment on human capital and scientific research, increasing the human capital to realize the sustainable development of China’s foreign trade development.
