With the increasingly global economy growth and fierce market competition, especially after the world economic crisis in 2008, the traditional manufacturing companies manufacturing model has been unable to meet the development needs of enterprises. Coming into Era of knowledge economy, the manufacturing industry in developed countries is undergoing a profoundly revolution, which specific performance is in the manufacturing value chain, service elements on all aspects of investment proportion is increasing, Finally, the proportion of service in product is also increasing. This is known as the manufacturing services phenomenon. In the era of globalization, more and more manufacturing enterprises are providing services to add value through its core product. The service has become an important means of gaining access to the market competitive advantage, and also has become an important way to upgrade the industrial structure of manufacturing. Facing services worldwide tide, how to correctly interpret the deep relationship of enterprises and manufacturing services and fully understand the impact of service-oriented trend for local enterprises to upgrade and take positive and effective measures to complete our manufacturing enterprises upgrading and development, has become the focus of current theoretical and industrial circles.Scholars have keen noticed manufacturing services and did a lot of research in the beginning of this phenomenon. However, the point of view from the current research results, both in theory and in practice, are so scattered that unable to form a unified framework papers. This paper studies on relationship of upgrading of enterprises and manufacturing services, adopting the method combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, discussing the dilemma in upgrading faced by local enterprises, the cause and development of manufacturing services, manufacturing services of mechanism and effects on local enterprises upgrade.Firstly, in the introduction, the paper introduces the writing background, research ideas and innovations, and has a brief literature review of their predecessors on corporate upgrades and manufacturing service issues. Secondly, the paper introduces the concept of enterprise upgrades and content in the theoretical framework of the global value chain, then analyzes the current situation and upgrade dilemma faced by Chinese manufacturers of enterprise development, In the third chapter, it introduces the concept of manufacturing services, characteristics, causes and effects of the enterprise upgrades mechanisms. On the theoretical basis of the first three chapters, the fourth chapter analyzes the current situation of the development of manufacturing and services, and based on ecological economics, to build the evolutionary model for the relationship between the manufacturing and services and then draw assume by mathematical model for the relationship between them; Based on empirical data in manufacturing enterprises for food, textile, electrical and electronic information industry empirical test, Chapter five build a dynamic panel regression model, with the empirical results, analyzes the promoting impact of manufacturing services on enterprises upgrades. Finally, conclusion and outlook summaries the previous discussed parts and explains the inadequate and late research prospects of this research.
