Firstly, this article analyzed the macroscopic environment of the China-ASEAN Science Park using the PEST model, it came to a conclusion that this environment is beneficial to the development of software parks. Secondly, it analyzed software park’industry environment with the use of Porter’s five forces model, and concluded that the China-ASEAN Science Park only leads within the region. Third, after the analysis of the internal environment of the China-ASEAN Science Park, it pointed out that the China-ASEAN Science Park performs well in the organizational structure, technological qualifications, capacity of business incubators and on the foreign exchange platform. Fourth, it provided the alternative business strategy for the China-ASEAN Science Park applying the SWOT model; it argued that the SO strategy should be carried out in the China-ASEAN Science Park based on the analysis of EFE matrix, IFE matrix and IE matrix. Finally, it established a business strategic model for the China-ASEAN Science Park, which includes Intensive Growth Strategy and Integration Strategy. The Intensive Growth Strategy means constructing "multiple parks within a district", increasing investment to achieve economy of scale and more in-depth cooperation with the government. The Integration Strategy involves vertically extending the industrial chain, and actively recruiting new talents. |
