Research On Sustainable Development Of Sui Xian De Shang Rural Bank

Along with the development of economy in China, dualism mechanism of urban-rural economic structure is becoming more and more obvious; whose main characteristic is slow economy in rural areas. However, rural economy is the foundation of our economy and the development of rural economy depend on rural financial system. Currently, existing financial system in rural areas is incomplete which results in low competitiveness, bad service and low efficiency. Other problems such as, wrong cash flow direction, low capital reserves and weak liquidity also appear as well. In other words, existing financial system in rural areas has slow down the operation of the above policies and cannot satisfy money demands. Therefore, China banking regulatory commission began to test a new financial organization, rural bank in 2006 base on the rule of low threshold and severe supervise. Main duties of Rural bank is to satisfy money needs and bring better service better boost the construction of socialism new countryside. However, as a new financial organization, it is inevitable that rural banks will encounter many problems during their development therefore, how to tackle with these problems in order to ensure the sustainable development of rural banks would be significant.This thesis had five parts. First part was introduction, which included background information, literature review, research approach, innovative points and deficiency. Second part included the definition of rural bank, the advantages over other financial organizations and current development in China. Third part included specific information of DEShang rural bank of Sui County and its development, its problems and reasons of these problems. Forth part included good measures conducted by other rural banks in China. Fifth part included integration of these measures into DeShang Rural Bank in Sui County and present advices to ensure sustainable development of rural banks in China. This study is also available for reference and application value for the sustainable development of other village banks.Through our anlysis of the problems that DeShang rural bank encounterd during its development, we proposed the following advices to ensure sustainable development of rural banks in China. The innovation of this thesis was that we proposed comprehensive advices to ensure sustainable development of rural banks and provide better and high efficiency financial services for rural economy. The inefficiency of this thesis was inefficient data, due to which we cannot fully discuss the current situation of rural banks in China. In addition, Sui County rural bank only established several years ago, which means that its data cannot used into comparison.
