In the background of aging, demographic dividend, which is pushing China’s economy forwarding, is disappearing. In the other hand, aging also leads the lack of pension of China, which is caused by low birthrate and the extension of life expectancy. Low dependency ratio causes that demand of pension exceeds supply of pension. In this situation, postponing retirement works as a way to solve this problem, but it’s under controversy. This is because that, one hand, we need to fill the shortage of labor, on the other hand, we have to avoid high unemployment. So this paper focuses on historical data, and analysis it, to conclude the relationship between unemployment and postponing retirement. The paper includes 5 parts. The first part is introduction, which reviews the historical document both from China and foreign countries, and also states the significance of this study. The second part analyzes the condition of our employment and aging problems. The third part theoretical analysis, which states theory the paper will use. The forth part is empirical analysis, and Eviews 8.0 will be used. The last part is the conclusion we get and advice we offer. There are two innovations in this paper as following:(1) The paper combines theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, which is more persuasive.(2) The theory adopted is relatively novel. But the analytical method is simple and some date is difficult to get, which leads to the inaccurate data.
