Beibu Gulf Economic Zone is located in the southwest along the coast of China. It is composed of Nanning, Beihai, Qinzhou, Fangchenggang. It has a land area of 4.25 square kilometers. Since The Beibu Gulf Development Planning became the national strategy in 2008, The Beibu Gulf Economic Zone has become the focus of economic development in Guangxi. So The Beibu Gulf Economic Zone increases demand of land. At the same time, the difficulty and strength of the land regulation continuously strengthen. This paper started with the basic situation investigation of land use of The Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. First, it analyzed the status and characteristics of land use of The Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. Then, it analyzed the existing problems by evaluating the land use situation of The Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. On this basis, this article put forward some specific countermeasures and measures to promote the rational utilization of land and optimize space layout. This paper argues that the land use of The Beibu Gulf Economic Zone exists many problems. First of all, reserve cultivated land resources are limited. Second, the contradiction between land supply and demand is obvious. Third, the degree of intensive utilization of land is low. Fourth, the land ecological quality decline. To solve these problems, we should innovate The Beibu Gulf Economic zone land management mechanism. We should also strengthen the top design of the reform to promote reform systematically. At the same time, we can build the low carbon land use structure and set up the new supervision mechanism of land use. In addition, we also need to improve the land acquisition related mechanism and approval mechanism of land supply. Finally, we should strengthen the administration of the whole process of industrial land and form the increment and stock interactive mechanism.
