Stepping into the 21 st century, with the widely adoption of information technology in our morden life, people’s consumption idea and mode has changed dramatically. E-commerce emerged at the exact moment that traditional marketing pattern could not meet consumers’ demand perfectly. As a new marketing method based on the Internet, e-commerce breaks the limitation of time and space, and by making use of the advanced Internet technology, it could successfully collect various information, like a certain product’s production status, market needs and price fluctuation. Finally, it could effectively helps to expand sales and improve profits with less marketing cost. The e-commerce of agricultural products could be a growing trend to sell agricultural products. Even though China’s e-commerce of agricultural products started late, it has developed and are still developing rapidly, in fact, numerous agricultural product processing enterprises have already adopted this new method to sell products.Henan is one of China’s largest agricultural provinces. It has a plenty of high-qualified agricultural products and its agricultural outputs also rank at the top list in China. However, in Henan Province, agricultural production is still based on family, its sale is largely influenced by the weather and the regional differences. In a word, Henan’s agricultural products selling is still on the primary spot market stage, which means that there are excess supplying parts, delayed market supply and demand information, disabilities in collecting、processing and publishing information which could easily lead to problems like information’s distortion, information’s mismatching between sellers and buyers, and also the block of producing and marketing channel. Since Internet is gifted with the benefits that it can facilitate bilateral communication as well as lower information collecting cost, e-commerce can do good to both consumers and sellers. It can help buyers gain products information more easily, meanwhile it breaks the limitation of time and space, helps enterprises cut their cost in trading and selecting and processing information, and also it promotes the whole industry’s management of supply chain. Thus, to develop e-commerce of agricultural products has a great significance in solving Henan’s agricultural products unsalable problems, exploiting international markets, improving competitiveness, handling “Agricultural, Rural and Farmers” problems and most importantly, pushing forward the work of Henan’s new rural construction.Based on e-commerical theories, and through searching a large number of related literatures, the author provides a clear definition of e-commerce of agricultural products, explains the advantage of it comparing with the traditional marketing methods, and also introduces the main modes of agricultural products’ e-commerce in current China. Combining with the practical situation of Henan’s agricultural development, this paper analyzes Henan Province’s environments to develop the e-commerce of agricultural products from the perspectives of policy、economy、society and technology. Moreover, based on numerous statistics and references, this thesis makes an overall analysis on the producing and sales status of Henan’s agricultural products, explains further on the current development situation of e-commerce of agricultural products in Henan, and also points out the obstacles for Henan Province to develop its agricultural products’ e-commerce. According to the present developing situations and problems, this thesis also puts forward practical suggestions, for example, standardizing、diversifying and branding agricultural products, strengthening the construction of e-commerce laws、 improving the information infrastructure、perfecting the system of online payment、cultivating talents in e-commerce、 promoting the logistical system of agricultural products and developing mobile e-commerce. All these means will definitely help to promote the popularization and application of e-commerce of agricultural products in Henan Province, and it will ultimately accelerates the circulation of agricultural products and the development of Henan’s agriculture.
