Natural rubber(HS4001) is one of the most important industrial raw materials in almost every country. It is a crucial component of national military defense and plays an important role in national economic growth. Natural rubber mainly distributed in South East Asia region. Thailand is the world’s largest producer and exporter of natural rubber, followed by Indonesia and Malaysia. In these countries, natural rubber industry has become an important pillar industry of the national economy. These three countries alone produce 67% of world’s natural rubber. Global market demand for natural rubber grows 1.89% every year, while 70% of the demand is mainly concentrated in 5 countries and regions, namely China, India, USA, Japan and Europe.This dissertation is divided into six parts: The first part is the preface. This part mainly expounds the research background, research significance, research content and research method. The second part introduces the current status of local and international related researches and theories, which are used as the foundation of following analyses made in this dissertation. The third part elaborates the current condition of world’s major natural rubber demanding countries and of South East Asia natural rubber exporter countries. This part also analyzes the exporting market structure of natural rubber in South East Asia region, and analyzes on the market demand of natural rubber in major rubber importing countries, providing sufficient and reliable data for analyses on competitiveness in natural rubber exporting market. The fourth part contains an empirical analysis on the competitiveness level in natural rubber industry in South East Asia region. Based on acquired data, analyzing the RCA index, trade complementary index, market share index and export average annual growth index of exports from Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia to world, China, USA and Japan, then lastly analyzing marketing strategy in natural rubber trading in South East Asia Region by utilizing the diamond model. The fifth part contains analysis on marketing strategy and marketing countermeasures of major natural rubber exporter countries in South East Asia region. The sixth part contains the summary, innovation point and deficiencies of this dissertation.Through theoretical and empirical analysis, this dissertation concludes that the major natural rubber importing countries includes China, USA and Japan. In world natural rubber trading market, export competitiveness from Indonesia is proved to be greater than the export competitiveness found from Malaysia and Thailand. In China natural rubber trading market, Thailand holds the greatest export competitiveness, and in USA and Japan natural rubber trading market, Indonesia holds the greatest export competitiveness.
