Project Management Application In Company C’s Distribution Automation Project

Project management as one of the three management sectors, has a completely open theoretical system, to guide staff better identify, analyze and solve problems and promote the successful completion of the project. Project management with universal application in the field of construction, electronics, consulting, design, finance, aerospace, power and etc.Company C is a manufacturer of high-voltage distribution line switches. The company began project management model for the company’s internal product localization, product optimization, process improvement. However, due to the lack of project management knowledge to understanding and grasp on how to improve project management capabilities, C’s completion of the project along with some problems.This paper is the study of project management in Company C distribution automation project applications. The distribution automation project is client-oriented, the difficulty and complexity of the project are higher than ever. Taking into account of company’s previous project management existing problems, the paper focused on the organizational structure of the project, schedule and cost management improvement.Distribution automation project is the beginning for C’s entering the new field of intelligent switching, the successful of the project are of great significance both for users and Company C. Distribution automation project arrival in successes with using of improved project management, it also provide verification for improving way. Since the improvements are based on C Company’s own resources, capacities and circumstances put forward innovative. But also provides the basis for C’s follow-up projects, extremely valuable reference.This paper studies and content focused on the following aspects:(1)After studying and reading the literature and content, the concept of the distribution network, intelligent switches are described, analyzed the status of the distribution network and the need for the development and application of intelligent switches;(2)After studying and reading about project and project management done a basic description to clarify its characteristics are summarized nine project management content, provides a theoretical basis for the follow-up project applications;(3) Describing the distribution grid automation projects background, analyzing the need of customer and providing solutions. With the clear object& scope, duration and cost of the project, to give suggestions for the project organization, schedule management, cost management and start apply in the project, and got successful.
