| With the developing of China’s economic, our manufacturing industry increasingly competitive, the cost is increasing also, in order to reduce costs and to enhance the competitiveness of the supply chain, manufacturers are more and more focus on the lean manufacturing. In small quantities, multi-batch under JIT production, in order to meet requirement of the materials, manufacturers often use the supplier directly delivery goods to factory mode or VMI mode. The first mode will waste loading rate and increased transportation costs because the increase of delivery times. The second mode will increase the inventory management costs and reduced inventory asset utilization. The Milk Run mode can improve the shortcomings of these two modes and improve the manufacturers’ flexibility and responsiveness. Milk Run has characteristics of small-quantities, multi-batch, the model can help to reduce the cost of supply chain, to shorten the lead time of the materials, reduce inventory costs and improve the competitiveness of manufacturing enterprises. In this thesis, take G company implementation Milk Run project as research background; take the method of literature analysis, research, data analysis, simulation and instance analysis, Combined with author in leading the implementation of the project encountered problems solutions. Firstly, introduces the research background and the significance, domestic and foreign research status, content and method of this thesis and introduces the Milk Run relevant principles and application conditions. Secondly, gives in detail the steps of the implementation of the Milk run, process design and risk control. Thirdly, help suppliers to optimize Milk Run project, to help them enhance their ability to improve planning system, lean system and leveling production. Finally, analysis of Milk Run actual operation at G company, it’s achieve the project targets, reduce costs, improve the competitiveness of the supply chain and have an important guidance for logistics operation in G company and provide a reference for other manufacturing enterprises to implement Milk Run. |
