There are many achievements on the study of education cost-profit in world. It becomes a model for the later people research on educational cost –profit that the human capital theory and the remainder analysis method of Schultz, Labor simplified method of West Rumi Lin,Analysis of economic growth factors in Denison’s.Since 1999,Many students are enrolled by Colleges. One hand, Many students have access to college; The other hand, The graduates is difficult to obtain employment and get much less wage. Is learning useful in university? Can you get a higher income by study in university? This is a hot topic. Many people think that learning in university is not used.We take the automobile industry of Shenyang as an example. Through questionnaire survey and statistical data, We calculate the benefits and costs of Education about vocational students, undergraduate, Master’s degree students and doctoral students. Based on revenue and cost, we calculate the rate of return on investment in education and discover the law in benefits and costs. This paper is divided into six parts. Part I is introduction, introduct the research background, the research mentality, logical framework, research about it in domestic and foreign. The second part introduces the related concepts and theories, including the concept of the cost of education, the concept of the education benefit, and the concept of the rate of return on investment. The third part studies the education cost of different academic levels, And analyze the total and the expenses. The fourth part is to calculate the education income of different educational level employees, and comparative analysis the costs and benefits. The fifth part is to calculate the education investment return rate according to the education cost and benefit and the comparison and analysis of the rate of return on education investment. The sixth part is the conclusion and suggestion. This paper draws an important conclusion: The rate of investment return of undergraduates is lower than that of vocational students in the first seventeen years of the work, after this, higher than the post of students. According to this phenomenon, we put forward a lot of suggestions: accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading of Shenyang automobile manufacturing industry in order to attract more high-quality skilled talents;undergraduate education should walk out of a new way on scale and characteristics; a part of undergraduate colleges change into Applied Technology University; channel of cultivating talents for smooth and provide more opportunities for vocational school students to study; improve the quality and type of training applied talents; change people’s prejudice against occupation education and so on,develop occupation education, cultivate the qualified technical talents. So the unreasonable phenomenon is becoming reasonable and provides more high-quality talents for Shenyang automobile manufacturing industry.
