China has the most nuclear power projects under construction, and the first priority in the rapid development of nuclear power is to ensure the safety. As part of nuclear safety regulations, the safety culture is regarded as an important means, widely advocated and practiced in nuclear power enterprises. At the same time, as an important research content of management and organizational behavior field, work stress has been the subject of attention in the theoretical and practical activities. In the field of nuclear power construction, the relationship between safety culture and work stress of managers, becomes a subject worth discussing.This article reviews and researches the relevant theory document, puts forward the basic ideas and research hypothesis to study the influence of safety culture on the work stress of nuclear power construction managers, and is divided into two stages as an empirical research. In the first stage, based on the former theories and interviews, the questionnaire survey is designed and implemented. In the second stage, the author analyses the data with SPSS 18 and gets a conclusion to validate the conclusion of research hypothesis and other research. Finally, the author puts forward improvement of nuclear safety culture construction and suggestions on management of work stress according to the research conclusion, and briefly analyzes the lack of research and problems can be focused on in the future research.Through the research, this article draws the following conclusions: 1) it’s suitable to divide the nuclear safety culture into eight dimensions, and it’s is basically appropriate to divide the work stress into intrinsic stress, exogenous stress and work satisfaction. 2) There is a significant negative correlation between nuclear safety culture and external pressure and job satisfaction. 3) Age and other demographic variables Has the difference influence on partial factors of the nuclear safety culture and work stress.4) the exogenous stress has greater influence on job satisfaction in nuclear power construction management.
