Port logistics industry is in the important period of structural adjustment and upgrading. The development of this industry has important significance for optimizing the area of the whole industrial structure and upgrade the industry level. The SZ group is one of the earliest companys in the Suzhou Port and in the Yangtze River port logistics enterprises, and have made a great contribution to economic development of Suzhou and Jiangsu. With the separation of the port management right and administrative right, a large number of private capital to enter the port logistics field. At the same time, the traditional business model of SZ group can not adapt to the development of modern port logistics industry. SZ group’s competitive power gradually declined.This paper based on the strategy management theory analyzed the SZ group’s political, economic, social, science, technology environment, and analyzed the port logistics industry by Potter’s five forces analysis model in order to achieve the basic situation of competition. Through analyzing the SZ group’s business structure, human resource, financial data and other factors, this paper fully grasped the strategy resources and core ability of SZ group. Using SWOT analysis model, this paper analyzed SZ group’s main internal advantages, weaknesses and external opportunities and threats. Compared with comprehesive analysis, the writer determined to choose the overall cost leadership strategy and the differentiation strategy. Furthermore, it is pointed out that the implementation plan of specific competitive strategy from different business level. And SZ group would formulate five aspects of security measures(strengthening the function positioning, strengthening policy financial support, risk prevention and introducing and training the diversified professional talents, strengthening the corporate culture and brand building) to ensure the realization of the strategy.This paper puts forward the competitive strategy of SZ group, and provides a new idea for dealing with the market competition and enhancing the competitive force of SZ group, and in the end puts forward the deficiency of this research. |
