Study On NEM And The Promotion Of Division Status Of GVC

With the improving of the technology, the international division of work is increasingly refined, the GVC management also become more diversified and outsource more and more non core technology to other developing countries. NEM have the characteristics of low risk, low cost, flexible operation and so on, the enterprises can learn advanced technology and management philosophy from the multinational corporations, and developing countries can upgrade in the global value chain position through the accumulation of technology.In this paper, on the basis of researches of domestic and foreign scholars about NEM and GVC, firstly summarizing the characteristics and impacts of GVC and main ways enterprises participate in the GVC and studying the relevant data according to the World Investment Report 2011 and 2013;NEM can be divided into two categories, from the angle of motivation NEM can be divided into resource seeking, efficiency seeking and market oriented, based on the GVC management it can be divided into trapping, association and module type; Then study the motivation of NEM and what different types will impact on the improvement of GVC.NEM can reduce the cost and risk for development countries and for developing countries, they can be involved in GVC. Different countries can get different benefits through different types. For example, developing counties can learn technology and business philosophy and then improve their status. Development counties can produce the core production that need their main resources.then through Chinese NEM and the division of GVC comparing with the developed and developing countries, illustrating the differences between different countries, and Chinese NEM activities will impact on the division of labor; Finally, according to the analysis of the above, puts forward the policy suggestions. Firstly, when making policies, thinking about NEM activities; Secondly, improving our technology in order to improve our status of GVC; Lastly, training staffs in order to do more complicated work.
