Yangtze River Delta is one of China’s most economically developed regions, cities with high density in this region constitute the largest urban agglomerations so far in China. Economic prosperity and convenient transportation make the tourist economy in this region more developed, and the development of tourism is also more mature. The high-speed railways between Shanghai-Nanjing, Shanghai-Hangzhou and Nanjing-Hangzhou were open to traffic, which is a marking of the completion of high-speed rail network in the Yangtze River Delta. And this network makes transportation between cities within the region more convenient, so the time and distance between cities are further shorten and the accessibility is greatly enhanced. Thereby it further stimulates and promotes the development of tourism industry in this region. In this thesis, our research is focusing on the impact of high-speed rail on the tourism industry, and we conduct our research on two fronts. Specifically, the first study analyzed the high-speed rail impact on the single city of tourism, namely the specific impact of high-speed rail on individual cities in different tourism sectors; secondly studied high-speed rail for inter-city travel industry influence, namely high-speed rail for the tourism resources in the city the impact of mobility. When studying high-speed rail for the influence on a single city tourism industry, the paper conducts the combination of empirical questionnaires and statistical analysis in the research. First of all, we analyzed possible affects brought by high-speed rails on the tourism industry of a single city and designed a questionnaire. And then, the questionnaire data were systematically analyzed to get the possible impact of high-speed rail on a single city tourism industry. In examining the impact of high-speed rail of the tourism industry between cities, since high-speed railway will shorten the distance and travel time between cities, we then use this speciality in our gravity model get the quantitatively analysis of trourism industry resource reallocation. According to the research hierarchy, the paper is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, the paper provides an overview of the background, significance and specific research objectives research, analyzes related work and research status at home and abroad. After the introduction of state-of-the-art studying in this field, we then introduced the specific presentation and innovative research methods we used; Next, the paper describes the existing theory of industrial resource allocation in the second chapter, and departuring from existing theories we gave a distinction between tourism industry resources and industry resources allocation; the third chapter introduces the tourism industry resource location for several properties, and by induction of these types of features, it gives a qualitative analysis of high-speed rail between cities close to the location of the tourism industry resource reallocation, draw resources for high-speed rail travel in the form of distribution of the spatial distribution of specific conclusions; in the fourth chapter, we focus on Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province as a specific object of study. Coupled with the use of questionnaires to analyze the statistical analysis for a single city high-speed rail travel the specific impact of the industry, the analysis showed that high-speed rail was not to promote the role of a single city in the tourism industry are not consistent. For transportation, food and beverage industry, promoting more obvious than hotel accommodation industry. Then we use a gravity model as a quantitative analysis method to analyze the impact of high-speed rail between tourism resources for urban mobility. After that, the paper took Hangzhou for specific research conclusions, under the Yangtze River Delta region for the background of the high-speed rail network direction of the city’s tourism industry, and made some suggestions, respectively, for the inner city in the focus of the development of the tourism industry, and tourism resources in the Yangtze River Delta cities between increased mobility in the background on how to further develop. Chapter V presented a summary of the research in this thesis, as well as prospects for future research.Through this research, it shows that high-speed rail has the strong impact on the individual city’s tourism industry leads inconsistent development status in different sectors in the tourism industry. So it needs further strengthen of the development of slower sectors in the industry to support efforts. For the development of a single urban tourism industry in the city group in the high-speed rail reflected effects of two, one along the high-speed rail travel resources on the formation of zonal distribution, increasing the aggregation effect, the second is due to the temporal and spatial distance is shortened, the tourism industry is further enhanced resource reallocation. These two features may brought several issues, the first is the balance of a single urban industrial development of tourism, followed by the coordinated development of urban tourism industry within the regional issues. In addition, for the purposes of Hangzhou, there is still a lack of resources diffusion effects of the tourism industry and tourism economy weak radiation situation.
