From the beginning of 90’s of the 20th century, global economic integration has become the main trend of the world economic development. The market expanding has brought tremendous developing opportunities to the enterprises. At the same time, it also brings unprecedented challenges. Supply chain management of enterprises and operation costs are directly related to the survival and market competitiveness of enterprises. The inventory cost is an important part of supply chain’s, which is one of the key factors to the level of supply chain management of an enterprise.In this paper, the inventory management of S company is taken as the research object, focusing on solving the existing problems of inventory management of S company. Before solving the problems, firstly, the involved principles were reviewed, including supply chain management, inventory management, inventory control methods commonly used, and inventory management mode under the environment of supply chain; then it introduced the basic information and the supply chain environment of S company, inventory management status and the main problems, such as inaccurate demand forecast, unreasonable inventory structure, lack of collaboration with the related enterprises in supply chain, and the management to third party logistics is not strict; aiming at the existing problems, the quantitative and qualitative analysis are used to find the corresponding fundamental factors for each problem. Then corresponding solving measures are given. The last part is the conclusion of this paper.This paper not only gave out in-depth analysis and effective solutions for the existing problems of inventory management of supply chain in S company, but optimized the processes involved in the supply chain inventory management. The measures given in this paper is not only useful for the inventory management of S company, but also could be a reference to the similar enterprise. |
