Risk Management And Case Study Of Construction Project

Construction project is an important part of the national infrastructure and the construction industry is one of the pillar industries of our national economy, which has a significant effect on the macro-economy. Construction project is divided into preparation, investment decisions, construction design, building construction, transformation, operation maintenance and other procedures, each of which involves the design unit, construction units, investment units, supervision units and the relevant regulatory authorities and other government construction projects. So it is easy to tell that the construction project itself is a complex engineering system. Due to the complexity of construction projects, the risk management in the construction industry is more necessary and has more challenges compared to other projects or management activities.At the same time, the construction project, compared with other projects, generally has a higher amount of investment, a longer construction period, a wider effect on economy and other characteristics. Construction projects face more unforeseeable factors in investment and construction process, as a result, the risk management has always been put forward higher requirements. With the acceleration of market-oriented reforming in China, competition in the construction industry is becoming more and more fierce. Besides the large and small range of domestic competition in the construction field, there are also more and more foreign companies who cannot wait to enter the Chinese construction market, which also make the domestic construction market hard to survive. To keep our domestic construction companies competitive in international competition, we should improve the design construction standards, as well as strengthen the ability in risk management, which is of strategic significance in improving our architecture enterprises’position in the international construction industry.Firstly, this paper discusses the necessity and importance of risk management. Secondly, this paper reviews the research status of risk management in construction enterprises, defines the construction project risk concepts, characteristics, classification, influencing factors, and the connotation of risk management construction project, the development of risk management construction project and related concepts in a clear scientific connotation, in which the specific risk management processes are analyzed detailed. Thirdly, through in-depth analysis of the current situation and problems of the risk management in construction project, science-based methods such as HHM method and RFRM method are used to do the research so as to propose a series of countermeasures to optimize risk management in construction projects. Finally, through the actual case of Dalian B residential construction project, this paper verifies the effectiveness of proposed methods.
