As an important part of project management,project risk management has attracted more and more attention of scholars at home and abroad.In the offshore engineering industry,due to the large investment projects,long cycle,strong economic and political sensitivity,resulting in offshore engineering project risk management is very difficult.For those just entering the Chinese market of M company as Sino US joint venture company,adhering to the risk management system of the parent company in the US,but this risk management system established in last century 90 times which is the initial stage of industry,have not been adapted to the offshore engineering industry of contemporary stage development.This paper focuses on the optimization and improvement for original project risk management system of M company,using Delphi method to optimize the risk identification process,introducing @RISK software to establish the mathematical model of Monte Carlo simulation to optimize risk analysis process,separately introduction from the non-financial and financial to optimize the measures of risk control,rebuild the design of the risk management system,integration,risk monitoring and control,establishment of risk protection measures which in accordance with the requirements of the overall risk management of M company offshore project.
