Study On The Regional Differences Of Recreationalization In China

Since entering the new century, China’s urbanization strategy has reconstructed the country’s macro background of urban development through social, political, economic, cultural and other aspects’ impact, and has become a huge force of urban recreationalization development. Urban Recreationalization has become Chinese cities’ new development form, and has become a focus of scholars’attention in recent years making a wealth of research results. Of course, in the process of urban recreationalization also produced a lot of new issues that worth exploring. Because of the unbalanced economic and social development of the country, China’s urban recreationalization is facing the problem of regional imbalances, while excessively large regional differences will affect the development of whole society and economy, the improvement of the national overall standard of living and the harmonious of our society. Therefore, the regional differences research is an indispensable part of Chinese cities recreationalization research. It is important to promote the coordinated development of urban recreationalization, to improve the quality of residents’life and to maintain social harmony and stability.This paper used three methods to explore the regional differences of city’s recreationalization in the size of the change, the causes and the measures. First, the literature study method:this paper proposed measurement methods of the level of urban recreationalization and regional differences. Second, Quantitative analysis method, this paper selected the appropriate evaluation indexes and models to measure the urban recreationalization level of major cities and used the standard deviation, coefficient of variation, the Theil index to measure the three regional differences in the level of urban recreationalization. Third, comparative analysis method, respectively from the horizontal and vertical angles this paper compared the development of China’s three major differences of urban recreationalization level.This paper reached the following conclusions. First, the regional differences of urban recreationalization is obvious, showing that the level of eastern cities’ urban recreationalization is higher than that of central and western cities’ urban recreationalization. Second, the regional differences of urban recreationalization has been slowly narrowing in fluctuation, but the decomposition results showed that the intraregional differences is the main cause of the overall difference. Third, the regional differences of each sub-index have distinguishing features. Regional differences of consumption ability have little difference; regional differences in public infrastructure and industrial capacity are the largest.This study included the following sections:First, we tried to build the city’s recreationalization level evaluation model, collected 2003-2012 statistics to measure the level of China’s major cities’ recreationalization level, and comparatively analyzed the major differences in the level of urban recreationalization situation. Secondly, we designed the measurement method of urban recreationalization regional differences, casual carried out 2003-2012 statistics to measure regional differences and launched a multi-angle analysis after sub-indicators of regional differences were measured. Finally, based on the above theoretical and empirical analysis, combined with urban recreationalization construction situation, this paper analyzed the reasons of urban recreationalization’s regional differences in our country, and proposed development strategies complying with the principle of proportionality and diversity.
