Research On The Influence Of Science And Technology Progress Of Fujian Province’s Logistics Industry

In recent years, science and technology is making remarkable effects on economic growth. The science and technology pullulated, then, the industry boomed. It means, for the logistics industry, its development has a close relationship with the progress of science and technology. It’s extremely significant to know that Logistics technology helps to promote the development of logistics industry. Fujian province is located in the southeast coast of China. There are certain geographical advantages to develop the logistics industry. What’s more, the rapid economic growth in Fujian province has leading to an increasing demand of logistics. Apparently, the development of logistics industry will promote economic progress, and it also will optimize the structure of the logistics industry at the same time. However, the logistics industry in Fujian province set up relatively late. So, it is urgent to accelerate the development of logistics industry in Fujian province.This paper firstly analyzed quantitatively the current situation of the development of logistics industry in Fujian according to logistics industry life cycle theory, and then it analyzed qualitively the effection of logistics hard technology, soft technology and information technology on logistics industry in Fujian province. Besides, the paper used solow residual method to measure the contribution rate of logistics scientific and technological progress in Fujian province. Also, it decomposited the logistics technology progress in Fujian province and compared it with several other coastal provinces by using the DEA-Malmquist index method, and then analyzed quantitatively the influence degree that logistics technology act on the development of logistics industry in Fujian province, lastly, pointed out how to accelerate the development of logistics scientific and technological progress in Fujian province.The results show that the logistics science and technology progress has a promoting effect on the development of logistics industry in Fujian province, but the logistics scientific and technological progress contribution rate shows that the rate can raise highly and there still don’t achieve the goal that scientific and technological obviously promote the development of logistics industry in Fujian province. Besides, it also suggests that there exists some deficiency that science and technology promoted the logistics industry development in Fujian province. For example, logistics enterprises managers in Fujian province have weak consciousness about science and technology investment; the logistics science and technology investment is only a little and unbalanced; The government conducted the development of logistics technology, which was lack of market competition; Logistics scientific and technological achievements can not transform into product efficiently; there is lack of comprehensive professional logistics workers. So, to really make the logistics scientific and technological progress to promote the development of logistics industry in Fujian province, it needs the government, schools, logistics enterprises and logistics related management consultancy work together.
