Analysis Of The Influence Of Agricultural Informationization On Agricultural Production Performance

Our country is a populous country with a population of more than one of five of the world, while the land area is less than 3% of the world. Solving the problem of domestic grain demand puts forward very high requirements to agricultural development. Agriculture, as one of the three largest industry developments, is of great importance to a country’s economic health, and is an important foundation of economic development. But experts point out that agricultural science and technology innovation ability of our country is 20 to 30 years behind the developed countries, and the agricultural modernization level is far lower than modernization level of our country.Agriculture has become the weakness to the economic development of our country.Government has been aware of this problem, and is looking for ways to develop agriculture. Agricultural informatization is an important try on the road. What is the effect of informatization on agricultural development? Related research in this aspect is few; mainly focus on how informatization promotes the economic growth and the production efficiency. This paper, on the basis of predecessors’ research, on the premise of measuring the agricultural informatization level, from the perspective of agricultural total factor productivity and efficiency of the agricultural structure, uses theoretical analysis and empirical research method to study the influence of the agricultural informatization on agricultural production performance. According to the results, it puts forward some recommendations to develop agricultural informatization and to promote agricultural production performance.Theoretical analysis. The existed researches have a problem that the evaluation on agricultural production performance is not comprehensive, simply concerning the agricultural informatization impact on agriculture total factor productivity. None research involves the efficiency of the agricultural structure. This paper analyzes from two aspects, the agricultural total factor productivity and the efficiency of the agricultural structure, and studies the impacts of the agricultural informationization on them. Specificly, in terms of total factor productivity of agriculture, carry on the mechanism analysis from three aspects, technological progress, human capital accumulation and production sales ability raise; In terms of efficiency of agricultural structure, carry on the mechanism analysis from two aspects, the market demand information to effective access to resources, environmental information.Empirical analysis. First of all, based on the above theoretical analysis, calculateour country’s agricultural informatization level, agricultural total factor productivity,and the efficiency of agricultural structure. This paper select four variables, books,newspaper and magazine publishing, traffic per person communication and cultural and educational entertainment spending, Internet penetration, mobile phone penetration, and chooses the variation coefficient method to determine the index weight, and measure for agricultural informatization level; Using the Malmquist index model by DEA software measure agricultural total factor productivity; Innovatively using method put forward by Ole Badunenko measure the efficiency of agricultural structure.Secondly, according to the theoretical analysis, construct two models, agricultural informationization affecting agricultural total factor productivity and agricultural informatization affecting the efficiency of agricultural structure respectively(substitute with model 1, model 2), using PCSE method with panel data to test theory analysis.Model 1 shows that agricultural informatization plays a significant role in promoting the agricultural total factor productivity. Model 2 shows that agricultural informatization has no significant influence on the efficiency of agricultural structure,and it analyzes the probably reasons..Combining with the conclusion of theoretical analysis and empirical research, the paper puts forward some suggestions from two aspects for improving agricultural production performance. Firstly, adhere to the agricultural informationization construction. Secondly, strengthen the effect of the agricultural informationization on promoting agricultural production performance.
