With the era of knowledge economy, technology, information and other elements have been the key elements to boost the agricultural economy and improve the market competitiveness of agricultural products. Agricultural informatization is an important feature and developing trend of modern agriculture, and it is an necessary and more important motivating factor during all the factors promoting the growth of agricultural Total Factor Productivity(TFP) . This paper presented a detailed theoretical analysis of the mechanism between agricultural informatization and agricultural TFP, which described the internal law of agricultural TFP's increasing promoted by agricultural informatization, and then calculated the level of agricultural informatization from the view of quantitative point and done a regression analysis on the effecting relationship between agricultural informatization and agricultural TFP using the double-logarithmic model, which will introduce the agricultural informatization to the studying areas of agricultural TFP, to cause scholars and relevant government departments put an attention on the agricultural informatization and provide a theoretical basis for the development of the agricultural economy and the increasing of the agricultural productivity.This paper firstly presented the current state of the agriculture and agricultural TFP in China, as well as other countries' status of agricultural informatization in the first chapter. At the same time, the first chapter did the research review of the relevant studying field, then through the summary of research achievements have been got and the status of agricultural informatization and agricultural TFP to find the deficiencies in relevant research fields, based on which, this chapter raised the meaning , purpose and innovation of this paper. Then the second chapter explained theoretically the mechanism between agricultural informatization and agricultural TFP, which is the empirical study basis of the rest chapters. Chapter III of this paper combined with our country's conditions, developing status and characteristics of agricultural informatization to establish a measurement system of agricultural informatization that is fit for our country,using which to calculate and analyse the level of agricultural informatization in China between 1998-2008. This chapter provides the premise and foundation for the next chapter. Based on the Chapter III, Chapter IV quantitatively analysed the agricultural informatization on the impact of agricultural TFP. This analysed results provide theoretical support for the construction of agricultural informatization and, but also point out the of developing direction of agricultural informatization in China. As a conclusion, Chapter V summarized the main conclusions of this study and gives the relevant policy recommendations.Based on the relevant indicators and data during the period of 1998-2008 of China and the conceptual framework of TFP, this paper used the Porat law and the double logarithmic model to estimate China's overall level of agricultural informatization. On this basis, this paper analysed the relationship between agricultural informatization and agricultural TFP. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) In recent years when our country accelerates the construction of information society, the level of agricultural informatization in China showed a steady upward trend, especially the second agricultural information sector, which has greater role in promoting the development of agricultural informatization. Therefore, the second sector should be paid attention and invested increasingly to stimulate the development of the first information sector and the overall levels.(2)The results also show that the level of agricultural informatization has a significant promoting role on agricultural industry. According to the regression results, we can be see that for every one percentage point increase in the level of agricultural informatization would bring agricultural TFP increase 0.7655. These results suggest that as an endogenous variable of agricultural technological progressing factors, the agricultural informatization can to promote agricultural TFP directly and effectively, and this influence has a long-term stability. Therefore, for the purpose of China's agricultural production's increasing in a sustainable, healthy and stable way, we need to adjust the agricultural developing policies and investment direction to establish a more perfect system to play a positive role of agricultural informatization, thus promoting the rapid development of agricultural informatization and ultimately promoting the development of the agricultural and overall economy.
