Through more than ten years rapidly development, our country’s international electrical power EPC general contracting had not only entered the Southeast Asia, India, Middle East, and Africa which the emerging markets, but also had obtained some extent competing superiority. In the international market, our country’s power general contracting enterprises not only had to face the lower-price competing between the domestic enterprises, but also face the extrusion from the developed countries’ company as they turned to the middle & lower oversea markets such as Asia and Africa. Our country’s contactors’ engineering management level and “china-model” operation can’t meet with the new situation. Promoting competence and upgrading is the urgent issue which our country’s power general contracting enterprises.This thesis attained the follow conclusions after analyzing the core competence our country’s power by using documentary analysis, theory analysis.(1)The main influencing factors on international power general contracting enterprises’ core competence includes resource integration capability, human resources, organization and management capacity, innovation ability, brand influence, cohesive corporate culture.(2) To enhance the competitiveness of EPC enterprises need to actively promote the overall quality level of our country’s equipment, and promote China Standards to international, to enhance coordination and self-discipline to create a favorable external environment. In addition, enterprises should strengthen their ability to integrate resources, innovation, and increase the level of human resources, project management capabilities and strengthen the financing capacity, establish viable marketing strategy, strengthen brand building, while actively carry out strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions and non-core outsourcing externally.(3) Power Construction companies should give full play to their advantages, establish a construction-oriented design, procurement, construction synergy management mechanism, establish the organizational structure for general contracting, to clarify the relationship between headquarters and the project department, so seamless & smooth flow, improve the value chain, to strengthen the design management and design optimization, procurement management and construction management, to strengthen and improve the level of human resources through training, strengthen financing capacity and strengthen brand building to enhance the competitiveness.(4)After analysis SEPCOⅡ’s international power general contracting competitiveness, proposed the promotion strategies and initiatives to enhance company’s international power EPC project competitiveness.
