| In the global economy integration and knowledge economy era, knowledge, technology, talents have become important power for the countries and regions to promote economic growth, improve international competitiveness. High technology industries characterized by knowledge intensive and technology intensive, become the core of national and regional competitiveness. Industrial agglomeration as a form of industrial spatial organization, is a phenomenon of world economic development. Around the world, high technology industry development appears the phenomenon of industrial cluster significantly. The gathering of hi-tech corporations could bring scale economies effects and positive external benefits, through the spread of knowledge, technical communication, it could bring up the regional technology innovation and push forward the industrial construction reform. High-tech industry agglomeration effect to the promotion of technological innovation has attracted the attention of researchers and policy makers.This paper reviews the theories and research results of industrial agglomeration, technology innovation and the effect of industrial agglomeration on technology innovation both at home and abroad, then analyses the effect of industrial agglomeration on technology innovation. This paper makes regression analysis of high-tech industry both in Jiangsu Province and the three regions to reveal the effect of industrial agglomeration on technology innovation in Jiangsu Province. The results shows that the high-tech industry agglomeration acts the obvious role of promoting technology innovation of Jiangsu Province. The effect of industrial agglomeration on technology innovation is most obvious in north Jiangsu, middle and south Jiangsu is relatively small. From the point of three regional regression model, R&D investment, R&D human capital investment and FDI spillover effects acts the obvious role of promoting the three regional technology innovation, but promoting role is most obvious in southern Jiangsu. The capital stock has certain positive effects on technology innovation in the three region, but on the other hand, it is not obvious in north jiangsu, could bring some negative effects also. Based on the regression analysis result, this paper puts on some counter measures to promote the development of technology innovation of Jiangsu province, through the angle of the innovation investment, production-study-research mechanism, differentiation strategy, and promoting the development of industrial agglomeration. |
