Business Model Research Of Initial State Of Shanghai YAD Printing Company

With the development of computer technology and Internet technology and the popularity of mobile terminals, the way that people obtain information has been changed tremendously. Tablet PC and smart phone has entered every household and people’s reading habits was changed disruptively. The traditional paper media is facing serious challenges because of the changing of reading habits. Sales of books, newspapers, periodicals and magazines is sharply declined, a lot of paper media were closed, some of them have transferred to electronic publishing and the traditional printing industry had been impacted tremendously by all of these changes. Large printing companies have a strong ability to withstand risks but small and micro enterprises are very difficult under this harsh external environment.In this study, the business model of one small printing company (Shanghai YAD Company) which was founded only two years is our object for study. First of all, the global printing market and the overall status and trends of the domestic printing market is analyzed and summarized, then future trends and directions for the development of packaging printing enterprises were predicted base on the analysis of external environment of packaging and printing industry. And the nine building blocks of YAD Company’s business model were analyzed and problems were identified by its existing basis data. Finally, the improving and innovative suggestions were advised by the literature research cited on small and micro enterprises, start-up companies and business models. These are meaningful reference for the decisions making of YAD Company.
