A Knowledge Transfer Research Of ERP Implementation Based On System Dynamics

With the continuous change of the market demand,shortening product lifecycle,growing global competition,the enterprises are facing increasing pressure.Howto make decision rapidly and effectively becomes more and more essential to thesurvival and development of the enterprises. The enterprise resourceplanning (ERP) emerge as the times require, the process of enterpriseinformatization is the break in in full fury and a general trend. The successfulimplementation of ERP can effectively integrate supply chain resources, improve theresponse speed of change in the business needs of the market, and enhance thecompetitiveness of enterprises.As a advanced,complex and high content ofknowledge management system with the support of modern IT technology,itsimplementation is the knowledge transfer process between the implementationconsultant and the enterprise essentially, effective knowledge transfer is the keyfactor that decides the success or failure of ERP projects.Researchon enterprise informatization from the view of knowledge transfer is alsoa new perspective and direction.Compared with the research of knowledge transfer,, the research of ERPimplementation knowledge transfer is still in the initial stage and the research level isnot deep enough because of the complexity and uncertaintyof ERP implementation.For example,some scholars adopt narrowERP implementation concept and did not realize that the implementationof preparatory stages of knowledge transfer is also important.Most of the research ismainly based on qualitative research and especially the research of quantitative ERP implementation knowledge transfer is rare. Compared with the vigorousdevelopment of the ERP implementation activities, the theory is behind the needs ofpractice.And the system dynamics is a subject to study and analyse the informationfeedback system,which has been confirmed for the complex system of knowledgetransfer.Therefore, it is necessary to analysis the ERP implementation knowledgetransfer model and discusse how to improve the efficiency of knowledgetransfer deeply in order to improve the effectiveness of ERP implementation fromthe perspective of knowledge transfer.Based on the review of previous studies and under the background of ERP,thispaper studies the knowledge transfer mode of implementing ERP deeply, at the sametime,selects the key factors that affect ERP implementation knowledge transfer.Through the system dynamics simulation,we can find some characteristics of theERP implementation knowledge transfer system, and finally we will put forwardsome countermeasures and suggestions in order to improve the efficiency and effectof knowledge transfer in ERP implementation. Based on this, this paper mainlyincludes the following five aspects:First of all,the paper discusses the meaning and classification of knowledge anddefines the concept of knowledge in ERP implementation knowledgetransfer,reviews the related theory about knowledge transfer, and also defines theconcept of ERP implementation knowledge transfer,then discusses the theory ofsystem dynamics in detail.Secondly, on the basis of existing research,this paper analyze the model ofknowledge transfer in ERP implementation, including the main body of knowledgetransfer, the content of knowledge transfer, and proposed the knowledge transferprocess model, and then summarize the characteristics of knowledge transfer in ERP implementation. At the same time, this paper summed up the key factors ofknowledge transfer in ERP implementation and establish the factor model ofknowledge transfer in ERP implementation.Thirdly,this paper establish the system dynamics model ofknowledge transfer in ERP implementation by using the method of system dynamicsand get the causal loop diagram and causal flow diagram through the analysis thecause effect relationships between system elements.At the same time, through theestablishment of equation and the initial values of the parameters, this paper useVensim for simulation and we get the trend of the system and the sensitivity analysis.Fourth,according to the simulation results,we put forward somesuggestions from the aspects of the implementation consultant and theenterprise, including improve the transfer threshold, enhance the initial stock ofenterprise knowledge,keep the knowledge stock levelFinally, some problems to be discussed in future are pionted out based onsummarizing the works done in this paper.
