With the deepening and development of knowledge-based economy andinformation economy, land, labor and capital which used to help enterprises tomaintain competitiveness now have lost their dominating position. Whereas, new factors, mainly as knowledge and comprehensive skills etc. have eventuallypredominated in current society and become the key factors of enterprises toobtain competitive advantages. However, the adhering nature of them, namelythe nature of dependence on human body as a carrier, determines that thecompetition among enterprises grows more and more of competition amongpeople. Akio Morita once said:“For an excellent enterprise, the key, if any, tosuccess is people.” People that grasp advanced knowledge and skills are magicweapons for an enterprise to win in competition. Thus, training as a measure andapproach to facilitate people cultivation and upgrade, has received higher andhigher concern and recognition from enterprises at home and abroad.Nevertheless, a large number of enterprises have been obsessed by bad trainingtransfer, which has led to huge waste of enterprises’resources.Company S is a large-scale electronic company with tens of thousands ofemployees. Its HR ED department is mainly responsible for trainingimplementation among the whole company. Every year company S will make ayearly training plan as per demands and invest large amount of manpower andresources as well as large sum of money for training. However, thedistemperedness of training system has enormously influenced training transfer.Training management staff has been obsessed by poor training transfer incompany S all along.Based on Badwin&Ford’s training effect mode, applying Six Sigma toolsand methodology, This paper chose company S as an example to study factorsthat influence training transfer and consequently identified key factors. With theinspiration of those key factors, it came up with solutions on how to optimize training system to deal with the bad training transfer in company S. Throughinterview and Delphi technique, this paper, first, demonstrated problems of badtraining transfer in Company S, in exact words, defined Y. And then, based onBadwin&Ford’s training effect mode, identified the influence factors of trainingtransfer in company S through process analysis and questionnaires etc. Finally itapplied factor analysis and correlation analysis to extract the key factors whichwere study impetus, training style and teaching power as well as trainingtransfer atmosphere. And at the end, this paper devoted to company S’s trainingsystem optimization so as to eliminate the impact of those key factors to furtherensure and enhance training effectiveness. Training system optimization wasbased on the design theory of “Four Dimension Integrated in One” which is“strategy orientated, processes standardized, supported by resources andguaranteed by policy”. It concentrated on optimization of policies, resources andprocesses to enhance training transfer effects.
