The Study Of The Operational Capability Of Farmers Specialized Cooperatives

With the household contract management responsibility system in China hasgradually formed small farmers in the rural areas of small-scale production and businessoperation pattern, the decentralized management of peasant households into the market isbound to be faced with contradiction between small farmers and big market which havebecome increasingly prominent, thus, individual farmers are at a disadvantage in a markettransaction. Throughout the history of agricultural development at home and abroad,guiding farmers to form a marketing cooperative is the fundamental strategy to solve theagricultural economic development issues.Although the number of Farmer Specialized Cooperatives is large, but thedevelopment of Farmer Specialized Cooperatives in China is still in the initial stage, mostof the co-operatives are news and the uneven quality of cooperatives. Compared withforeign countries, the capacity of overall development of farmers’ cooperatives is limited,so there are many problems in the operations of cooperatives. So the study of theoperational capability of Farmer Specialized Cooperatives has important theoretical andpractical significance.In this paper, the main purpose is to analyze the operational capability of FarmerSpecialized Cooperatives, as appliances based on operational capability evaluation indexsystem.Firstly, in order to enhance the operational ability of farmers cooperatives as astarting point, the paper summed up the research of the operations of farmers cooperativesstatus at home and abroad, an the definition of related concepts, elaborated institutionalchange theory, agency theory, transaction cost theory and other theories, as determine theoperational capacity of Farmer Specialized Cooperatives evaluation system laid thetheoretical foundation.Secondly, starting from the cooperative operating capacity’ present conditions athome and abroad, the research introduces operational capability of cooperatives in Japan,the United States and China, proposes factors affecting the operational capabilities ofFarmer Specialized Cooperatives to construct operational capacity of Farmer Specialized Cooperatives evaluation system with the help of AHP.Finally, the selection of cooperatives in Suning to fully verify the evaluation model,analysis of the operational capacity of Farmer Specialized Cooperatives in Suning Countyto identify its deficiencies, proposed improvements in standardized production, processingand brand building recommendations.
