| Historically, each industrial revolution gives an opportunity to thelate-developing countries and regions to catch up with the developed ones. At present,a new round of industrial revolution is right on its way. And this provides HubeiProvince a great opportunity to restructure and upgrade the manufacturing industrial.The current Hubei Province, with its developing advantage and powerful motivation,it will and can grasp this blue moon opportunity to upgrade its manufacturing industryas well as boost the economic development. Only in this way can we overcome theexistent challenges such as underdevelopment of service industry, outdatedtechnologies, lagging future industrial distribution, and slow industrial upgrading. Inthe future, Hubei must pay high attention to the new industrial revolution, grasp therule, stress on the distribution, pursue interests and avoid disadvantages, intensify thestrategy of innovation-driven, propel manufacturing industry restructuring andupgrading, strengthen communication and cooperation, apply the latest scientifictheory into practice. And construct Hubei Province as an important strategicallysupport of central region in China.At first, this paper explains the basic conception, characteristic of new industrialrevolution and some relevant theory of industry upgrading. And then, it analyzes theproblems which exist in the developing process of Hubei manufacturing industrywhile combines the new industrial revolution to analyze the challenges andopportunities of Hubei manufacturing industry. Finally, it demonstrates the influencefactors to Hubei manufacturing industry upgrading, and offers some advicesaccordingly. The basic content is as follows:The first chapter is introduction. It introduces the research background,significance and status of new industrial revolution. It also introduces the researchmethod and technical route, which makes a general description for the whole text.They both show that a new industrial revolution is going to take place and elaboratemany valuable viewpoints like the concept, characteristics, and significant impacts ofthe new industrial revolution, which provide us with important basis for further study.The second chapter is theoretical basis. It falls into three parts:1. the conception,features and technologies of new industrial revolution.2. Industrial structure, industrial structure upgrading and its influence factors.3. The connotation, statusof manufacturing industry and the theory of manufacturing industry upgrading. Part2and part3offer us a solid foundation for studying the manufacturing industry of HubeiProvince.The third chapter is qualitative analysis of the new industrial revolution’sinfluence to manufacturing industry in Hubei Province. According to the descriptionof the past and current development as well as its problems in Hubei Province, itdiscusses the influence of the new industrial revolution from the perspective of thesupply, demand and cost. The paper discusses the challenges of the new industrialrevolution from the perspective of the lack of technology, talent and three factors ofspeculative investment. It also analyzes the opportunities of industry upgrading fromthe perspective of technological progress.The forth chapter is the empirical analysis of the influence factors of newindustrial revolution to manufacturing industry upgrade in Hubei Province. Accordingto above analysis, they are foreign direct investment (FDI), producer services index(LOAN), technology innovation index (INNOV), foreign trade rate (TRADETRATE).This paper uses penal data from13cities and regions in Hubei Province in9years toanalyze. And the result meets the hypothesis as well as the rule. Thus, it proves thatabove text is right from the perspective of empirical analysis.The fifth chapter offers some political suggestions for the manufacturing industryin Hubei Province to meet the new industrial revolution. It falls into four parts:1.speed up the industrial layout, promote industrial concentration.2. Promote thedevelopment of producer service supporting.3. Strengthen independent innovation.4.Promote restructure and upgrading of manufacturing industry.In the last part, it analyzes the deficiency as well as innovation points of thispaper, and put forward the outlook of the future. |
