Today the automotive industrial market competition has been increasing witheconomic globalization. Relevant enterprises urgently need to select the supplierswhich are suitable for their own development requirements from different quality levelsuppliers of market. It is wise for enterprises to build new type of strategy relationshipwith key suppliers. So it’s a common understanding that Automotive companies willbegan study on supplier evaluation and selection method to reduce the total supplychain cost and increase own core competitiveness through project purchasingmanagement.The conceptions,standards,technologies and methods of supplier evaluation andselection are described in the article.Meanwhile, the current status of projectpurchasing management and supplier evaluation and selection system of F Companyare analyzed and summarized. Base on the concrete practice of the automotive seatingmanufacturing project Omega, we set up the supplier evaluation system according toproject characteristics and requirements and select suitable suppliers based onPrincipal Component Analysis Method through SPSS software. Omega project isrunning well based on this effective supplier evaluation and selection study result. Thesupplier evaluation and selection system of F Company are optimized, and specificcalculation is completed for the Omega project supplier evaluation process by usingPrincipal Component Analysis Method. The result shows that the supplier evaluationmodel has played a good positive role during Omega project purchasing operation, andit is helpful to achieve desired target for the project purchasing. This study providesvaluable reference to continuous improvement in project purchasing management andother Automotive Seating enterprises. |
