Abstract/Summary:
With the fast-growing development of the information technology, applying advancedIT tool and high-efficient data processing platform to provide a powerful boost of enterprisemanagement and project management has become a common goal of large firms, particularlyknowledge-intensified firms like power engineering firms. From the perspective of a projectmanager, this paper studies the existing project work procedures based on the results of acomprehensive investigation of G design institute and the writer’s personal workingexperience in this firm, adopts multiple approaches and channels to be fully aware of theoutstanding problems at different levels of the firm, and identifies the problems in nine areasof project management. By comprehensively analyzing the cores of the problems andsystematic analysis and generalization of the core problems, the root cause is identified. Thus,the approaches of solving the problems and concrete management solutions are developed.While identifying and analyzing the problems, with reference of PDCA project managementmethodology, the writer focuses on business sectors and business value chain and conductsystematic analysis in these two regards and finds out the key to the IT solution of theproblems. At this stage, this paper puts forward the practical and operational approach andrelevant IT support system for G design institute based on product life cycle development andmanagement means IPD (Integrated Product Development). Eventually, for G design instituteinformation construction project implementation, the writer comes up with a completeinformation technology solution based on C3P (coordinated project management, productionmanagement and product management) system.
