Research On The Development Strategy Of Tianjin Water Work Group

With the development of the industrialization and urbanization in China, thedisadvantage of the original water industry development model is more and moreobvious, and that the contradiction is becoming prominent. Meanwhile, theinvestment of construction in the water facilities is obviously insufficient along withlacking of a stable source of funds for construction. So it is urgent to reform thestrategy of the water industry in China. Tianjin Water Work Group is also faced withthese problems in the development of its own, and that these problems can beregarded as a strategic development problem eventually. Therefore, the thesis willresearch on the strategic development of the Tianjin Water Work Group to solve theseproblems.Firstly, the thesis defines the essence and importance of the strategy managementby analyzing the literature to explain the internal and external environment for thedevelopment of Tianjin Water Work Group. Then the paper takes advantage of PESTand SWOT to analyze the external environment and the internal environment for thedevelopment of Tianjin Water Work Group respectively. Finally, a generaldevelopment strategy of Tianjin Water Work Group is proposed based on the StrategicClock Model （SCM）.Based on the research of the strategy development of Tianjin Water Work Group,it is concluded that the three big services of the group should choose differentdevelopment strategies, which includes the transformation of the Water Productionand Supply Sector from low-value strategy to mix strategy. And the conversions arealso in the Municipal engineering, Pipeline engineering design and constructionSector and Water supply and Drainage equipment Sector, which is from thedifferentiation strategy to focused differentiation strategy gradually. Meanwhile, thepaper propose a general development strategy to guarantee the implementation of thedevelopment strategy successfully, which consists of the correspondingrecommendations about how to build a development strategy support system perfectly,how to promote lean management comprehensively and how to promote theconstruction of harmonious corporate culture. In this thesis, the research achievements play critical role in the perspective ofthe establishment and the implementation of development strategy of Tianjin WaterWork Group.
