After joining the WTO, China has been gradually open to the banking sector,escalating competition between commercial banks, facing unprecedented challenges. At thesame time, the level of commercial banks is becoming higher and higher. Credit risk is theprimary risk faced by commercial banks. Credit risk management of Bank ofCommunications, XT Branch has some loopholes and deficiencies, on the one hand, it didnot establish an effective risk management control system, on the other hand, it is lack ofrisk compensation mechanism. The possible risk of credit business has become a bigproblem for the further development of XT Branch.In this paper, we take risk management of Bank of Communications, XT Branch as theresearch object. The paper includes six chapters. The first chapter is introduction, includingtopic background, literature review, research ideas and methods and the expected results ofthis paper. The second chapter is credit risk management theory, including the concept andcharacteristics of credit risk, types of credit risks and risk analysis methods in common use.The third chapter is the analysis of risk management of Bank of Communications, XTBranch, including introduction and the present situations. The fourth chapter is mainproblems that XT Branch exists. The fifth chapter is the suggestions in order to strengthenthe credit risk management of Bank of Communications, XT Branch according to theproblems mentioned above. Mainly includes: adjust the structure of credit assets, strengthencustomer information disclosure review, comprehensively grasp customer information,perfect credit risk management mechanism, update credit risk management concept, set upcredit risk compensation processing system, dissolve bad loan risk, establish good creditculture and improve the professional quality of credit personnel. The sixth chapter issummary and outlook.
