Abstract/Summary:
As a type of clean energy, when compared with thermal power, nuclear power isenvironmentally friendly and efficient. It’s necessary to develop nuclear power toalleviate the pressure of energy shortage in our country. Nuclear power plants useuranium fuel to generate electricity, however, with uranium reserves being not veryrich in our country, it’s very hard to rely only on domestic uranium resource to meetthe need of rapid development of nuclear power. Therefore, the problem that we faceis how to solve the shortage of uranium resource in our country. To work out thisproblem, overseas investment of uranium mine is a good solution, which will becomethe urgent task of China’s nuclear power enterprises, and the risk assessment for thiskind of investment is the prerequisite.The overseas investment projects of uranium resource often showcharacteristics of large investment amount, long development cycle and the presenceof a variety of unpredictable factors, which bring investment decision-making withuncertain risks. Thus, it is particularly important to conduct the risk evaluation forinvestment and development projects. First of all, the questionnaire of investmentrisks will be designed for CNNC and CGNPC to complete. After completing thequestionnaire, the results will be conducted for statistical analysis.Through theapproach of Factor Analysis, variables of uranium resources development andinvestment risk will be filtered, then risk evaluation index system will be built. Thefuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is introduced in this article for the analysisand evaluation of overseas uranium resources investment risks. Through the entropy-weight method to analyze and sort for factors of overseas uranium resourcesinvestment risk and to analyze reasons of the key risk variables of investment projects. It’s useful to avoid and control the risk through the risk analysis of the biggest risk tothe project and the minimum risk. We can verify and revise the built evaluation modelby analyzing and evaluating the risk of CNNC’s uranium investment project inAfrican country of Niger. To the obtained conclusion of analysis evaluation, we canput forward positive suggestions about counter measure toward overseas investmentrisk management of uranium resources, and provide a reference for investors whenmaking investment decisions.
