Since China implements reform and opening-up policy, both our economy and industrialization havebeen developing rapidly, but this development is not a nationwide harmonious one. Because of its locationadvantage, the national policy favors more about eastern region and its economy has been far ahead, leading into the late stage of industrialization. As strategic orientation of grain production base, theindustrialization level of traditional agricultural region lags far behind the eastern region, even behind thenational average level. How to alleviate the contradiction of unbalanced regional development is a problemwe must face. On the one hand, with high-speed economic development in east region, the deviationbetween labor, energy, raw material oriented industry and its resource intensity is becoming bigger andbigger, causing problems such as resource shortage and narrow development space. The industrial structureis confronted with pressure of adjustment and upgrading, requiring to transfer backward industries outurgently. On the other hand, with quickening pace of economic globalization and market integration, thetrend of industry transfer on a global scale strengthens significantly and the east region should activelyundertake the new round of international industrial transfer. Therefore, promoting the industrial transferfrom east region to traditional agricultural area can not only speed up industrial transformation andupgrading in east region, but also promote the development of agricultural industrialization. This article puts industrial transfer undertaken by traditional agricultural region as the main line, combining with development economics, industrial economics, regional economics, economic geographyand other relevant theoretical basis, using EVIEWS software as a research tool. Through a case analysis oftypical agricultural region in Henan province, the author systematically analyzes the impact of thetraditional agricultural industrialization after undertaking industrial transfer. The structure of specificcontent is arranged as following: The first part is introduction, mainly elaborating the research backgroundand significance and research methods, pointing out the industrialization as the inevitable choice oftraditional agricultural region, bringing great opportunities to traditional agricultural region for realizingindustrialization. The second part is the theoretical analysis, summarizing the industrial transfer theoryfrom the angle of motivation, industrial transfer mode and so on, further explaining how industrial transfer occurs. The third part is about the general research of how industrial transfer influences the industrializationin traditional agricultural area. With economic growth, industrial structure, employment structure, nationalincome and manufacturing internal structure on behalf of the industrialization, this article expounds theindustrial transfer’s impact on all aspects of industrialization in traditional agricultural area. For example,by injecting scarce production factors, industrial transfer promotes agricultural economic growth. Throughmoving into high-level industries and technology spillover, industrial transfer upgrades agriculturalindustrial structure. Via the industrial development and the migration or expansion of enterprises, industrialtransfer increases employment and improves national income in agricultural area, etc. The fourth part is theempirical study of agricultural industrialization, taking Henan province as an example. With FDI industryrepresenting industrial transfer, and per capita GDP (PGDP), the second industry output value proportion(T), secondary and tertiary industry employment proportion (R), urban per capita disposable income(INCR), and the added value of heavy industry (EH) on behalf of the industrialization, the authorrespectively does quantitative analysis. Through co-integration test and Granger causality test, it isconcluded that undertaking industrial transfer has significant effects on the traditional agriculturalindustrialization. Every1%increase of foreign investment in actual use will make the per capita GDPincrease by0.47%, the second industry output value0.06%, secondary and tertiary industries employment0.08%, urban per capita disposable income0.41%, the added value of heavy industry0.86%. The fifth partis the analysis of industrial transfer trend and present situation, drawing lessons from the scholars’ views onquantitative analysis of industrial transfer. The author uses regional agglomeration index to analyze theeastern manufacturing industry with outward shifting trend and significant industry with undertakingadvantage in traditional agricultural area, providing reference for further selective industrial transfer inagricultural area. The sixth part is the policy suggestions promoting the traditional agricultural area toundertake industrial transfer actively. For undertaking industrial transfer scientifically and efficiently, thetraditional agricultural area should prepare well for these steps, for instance, the construction of industrialpark, creating a good environment for investment, improving market system and the extent of opening tothe outside world, strengthening personnel training, enhancing labor quality, innovating investment mode, undertaking industrial transfer scientifically.
