Reserch On Living Environment Design Of Zhejiang Small Towns Under The Background Of New Urbanization

Since the reform and opening policy, the number and size of small towns in China are increasing rapidly, and the small towns have become an important part of Chinese urbanization process. However, with the rapid development of economy and industrialization in urban and rural area, the strategic position of small towns has been more and more important. At the same time, the small towns are also facing many residential environment problems such as the disorder of spatial distribution in small towns, the destruction of sustainable ecology and environment, the loss of local cultural characteristics, the substandard infrastructure construction, resulting in the backward level of living environment in small town. However, in the report of eighteenth Chinese Communist Party’s National Congress, Chinese leaders has paid attention to the disadvantage of traditional urbanization development, and presents the concept of new urbanizations.The basic characteristics of this new urbanization are urban-rural integration, urban-rural unification, city-industry interaction, conservation, ecological livable, and harmonious development. The requirements of the new urbanization are to promote the good interaction of industrialization and urbanization, the coordination between urbanization and agricultural modernization, and to promote the co-ordination of the development of industrialization, informatization, urbanization, and agricultural modernization. Under the background of new idea and new guidance, to build the residential environment of small towns need to introduce new methods and concept based on traditional urbanization to meet the requirement during developing small towns in order to guide and promote the direction of development of small towns in China toward the scientific, sustainable way.Taking small towns in Zhejiang province as researching scope, this thesis combining theory with practice and selecting Qin Tong town Wu Yi County as studying case, researches and Analyzes the theoretical and practical significance of constructing zhejiang small town residential environment under the background of new urbanization and study in the problems and contradictions during the construction process of residential environment in small towns.This thesis consists of six parts. The introduction introduces the background, contents and developing situation at home and abroad of this research papers. The second chapter explains the basic concepts. And also this chapter defines the scope of this study and the differences between the "new" and "old" urbanization. The third chapter analyzes the present residential environment situation of small towns in Zhejiang province. Also this chapter analyzes the causes of the existing problems and the significance and necessity improving the traditional urban living environment. The fourth chapter studies use the analysis of residential environment construction based on foreign small towns, and the achievements and theories on domestic small towns’residential environment construction as the basic theory research. The fifth chapter is the core part of this thesis proposing the principle and method of zhejiang small towns’residential environment construction under the background of new urbanization. The end of the thesis will discusses and prospects the developing direction of the residential environment construction in Qin Tong town Wuyi County Jinhua city.
