A Study On The Problem Of Cold Chain Logistics Distribution Center Location

Nowadays, people pursuit life of quality,thus the demand of fresh refrigerated and frozenfood are severelyincreasing, requirements of production and transportation for fresh frozenfood are increasingly getting strictly, these all require effective functioning of cold chainlogistics systemto support. Consequently, cold chain logistics system becomes more and moreimportant. In the whole cold chain system, suppliers, retailers are an essential part, but themost important part in the middle of circulation is the cold chain logistics distribution center.Coldchain logistics distribution center is the intermediate link of the whole cold chainlogistics system, cold chain food are first transported from the supplier to cold chain logisticsdistribution center, and then after classification, packing and finally transported toretailersafter a series of activities, until they reach to consumers. At present, many experts indomestic have studied the coldchain logistics distribution center, and obtained manyimportant theories. Studies on the cold chain logistics distribution center in China, however,has the very big disparity compared with foreign, the theory of knowledge has not formed to asystem. For this reason, the papertake locating of cold chain logistics distribution center asmain study object, the research work in this paper are as follows:(1) The study of theoretical knowledge. Theories of cold chain logistics, logisticsdistribute center and its location are collected in the paper, and on the basis of the theory ofreference related research scholars at home and abroad, a summary of the paper’s backgroundand research significance of this article is present.(2) Factors from inside and outside which should be considered when locating a coldchain logistics distribution center are present based on a large number of literature reviews,and factors that should be considered in the location of the cold chain logistics distributioncenter are more clearly defined.(3) An coldchain logistics distribution center location model is built. When built thismodel, the main consideration condition is the minimum costsof coldchain logisticsdistribution center and the minimum quality loss in the transportation of the goods.(4) A case is study in the paper. This article adopts the example in Hu Xian ‘s masterthesis from Beijing Jiaotong University, genetic algorithm methods is used to solve theexample based on the model developed in the paper.Through the study of location of cold chain logistics distribution center, some valuableresearch results are obtained:(1) factors that should be considered in the location of the coldchain logistics distribution center are clearly defined;(2) genetic algorithm methods, usedto solve the minimum costs of locating coldchain logistics distribution center and losingquality of the goods, is feasible and can gain a more optimal solution than that gained byLingo.
