Research On The Suitability Evaluation Of Abandoned Rural Settlements Reclamation

Along with the development of industrialization and urbanization,abandoned rural settlements being reclaimed into arable land,which is conducive to the best use of rural settlements,effectively increase arable land area,is very important.This article takes PingYang County as an example,making a systematic research on methods of suitability evaluation of rural settlements reclamation.Contents:First,define the related concepts of rural settlements reclamation,state related theoretical basis.Second,summarize previous research on rural settlements reclamation and evaluation of land suitability, and make a comment.Third,summarize natural conditions and society-economy conditions of the study area,analysis the situation,feature and the problems of land use and rural settlements in the county,then analysis the scale and distribution of abandoned rural settlements,clarify data sources.Fourth,establish the suitability evaluation model of rural settlements reclamation,divide evaluation unit.select evaluation index,determine the index weight.standardize every index,determine evaluation methods.Fifth,calculate the score of every index, produce the single-index maps,calculate the integrated scores of evaluation unit,divide the grade of every abandoned rural settlement.Sixth, discuss the results of suitability evaluation of rural settlements reclamation,propose measures and suggestions.Finally,make a conclusion,analysis possible innovation and the problems, make a prospect of the future.Methods:Combine the traditional methods of land suitability evaluation and ARCGIS spatial analysis technology,extract relevant data,put into the space attribute database,establish the suitability evaluation model of rural settlements consolidation.Determine the weight of every evaluation index by AHP.standardize evaluation index,calculate the score of every index, produce the single-index maps,calculate the integrated evaluation scores by weighted superposition model,divide the grade of every abandoned rural settlement.On this base, take out the rural settlements,whose slope is more than25, into the range of unsuitable by limiting factor method.Finally,analysis the results from quantitative structure and spatial distribution.Conclusions:Firstly,the total area of abandoned rural settlements in case study region is124.64hectare,and there are1816picture spots. Aojiang Town occupies the biggest percentage,followed by ShuiTou Town and XiaoJiang Town.These three towns almost take up for50%.Secondly, in terms of quantitative structure,the area of suitable region is83.91hectare,occupies67.32percent of the total area.The area of the most-suitable region is6.85hectare and take over5.49percent.The area of general-suitable region is57.76hectare, occupies46.34percent.The area of critical-suitable region is19.3hectare, occupies15.49percent.Unsuitable region has40.73hectare and occupies32.68percent. In the most-suitable and general-suitable region,AoJiang Town takes up the largest share,which has4.19and16.23hectare.In the critical-suitable region,TengJiao Town takes up the largest share,which has6.07hectare.In the unsuitable region,ShunXi Town takes up the largest share,which has9.14hectare.In terms of spatial distribution,the most-suitable abandoned rural settlements are mainly in the east of PingYang County,involving AoJiang Town,KunYang Town,WanQuan Town,MaBu Town and ShuiTou Town.The general-suitable are mainly in the east and center of PingYang County,involving nine towns except ShunXi Town and QingJie Town.The critical-suitable are mainly in the southwest and north of PingYang County,involving TengJiao Town,ShunXi Town.ShanMen Town,NanYan Town and QingJie Town.The unsuitable are mainly in the west part of PingYang County,involving TengJiao Town,ShanMen Town,ShunXi Town,NanYan Town,QingJie Town,AoJiang Town and KunYang Town.
