Development Research For The Shanxi Tourism Industry

In today’s context of the world economy globalization, along with continuousimprovement of people’s income level and increasing leisure time, more people stepup to pursuit the spiritual life meeting the material life. And plus more convenienttransportation, the tourism has developed a common recreation for the people.Tourism industry has become an important industry in economic development;regional tourism industry competition is becoming increasingly fierce. In such asituation, the potential for research and development of regional tourism industry isimportant. We should combine the theory and practice to find ways to developmentthe potential of the tourism industry; next, these can be effectively translated into thepotential competitiveness of the path in order to achieve sustainable development ofthe regional tourism.Tourism industry as a “sunrise” industry, is now paid close attention by localgovernment in many places. With the process of opening reform and in-depthdevelopment of the socialist market economy, Chinese tourism industry has entered anew era. Nevertheless, as six central province, Shanxi’s coal industry has been themain economic development, tourism industry is always behind of it. Based on this,whether the tourism industry in Shanxi Province has the further development, weneed to see the potential of Shanxi Province tourism industry. And whether thesepotentials can be transformed into the competitiveness of the tourism industry inShanxi Province, finally are able to promote economic development.In this paper, theoretical research and practical study are combined as well asquantitative and qualitative analysis method of combining. Comprehensive analysisand trend forecasting methods are also used in this paper. In the introduction part, theresearch background and significance of current research, the research framework andconcert of research, the research ideas and methods as well as the lack of innovationand research are contained. In the first part, on the basis of the concept of defining thetourism industry, the potential of tourism industry and theory, the current situationand development potential of the tourism industry in Shanxi Province are mentioned,and through detailed analysis of the potential factors that exist in the development ofthe tourism industry in Shanxi Province, the H-P model are used and we can put forward the countermeasures to further tap the potential of the tourism industry. AndShanxi tourism industry can truly become competitive industry to promote overalleconomic strength in Shanxi Province.
