With the increasingly fierce market competition, a majority ofmanufacturers are minimizing costs to increase competitiveness, manymanagers and engineers began to pay attention to the facility layoutplanning, so as to reduce the cost of logistics. At this time, manyenterprises explore and research to improve the state of productionlogisticsAt present in the actual construction of the plant of the majority,the plant layout design is often staff with experience in architecturaldesign, feel and architectural design specifications to be subjectivelogistics perspective, often resulting in higher logistics costs withinthe plant, low efficiency of logistics operations and other issues.Therefore, how to plant layout to provide theoretical support for thelogistics area of the factory to make low-cost, efficient operation, hasbecome an urgent problem.This paper presents the main layout techniques, focusing on the systemlayout planning method (SLP). SLP method is a kind of strong technicalrationality which mainly used in the field of industrial engineeringproject layout design. It combines logistics technology, the technologyused in manufacturing areas SLP layout planning, can be used as thetheoretical foundation of plant layout design.This paper is divided into four parts, the first two chaptersdescribes the background of the topics, related theories, specify theadvantages and disadvantages of several layout techniques, chapter threecomprehensively expounded SLP technology implementation process as wellas relative movement in company X, the fourth chapter take company X asan example, analyze statistics and research data. First, the X company’sproducts, production, production logistics lines, departments,facilities and other basic elements are analyzed, and then under eachoperating unit between logistics and non-logistics relationships, andcomprehensive mathematical model, developed a facility unit levelindicators, design a comprehensive position diagram, after a certainrelationship between the size and position adjustment, draw a few options, and then use AHP to determine the weight of each index, and use graycomprehensive evaluation method for composite score, elected optimalsolution.Finally, this paper summarized and discussed SLP in the SME factorylayout planning applications deficiencies.
