| With the rapid development of materials management in China’s electric power enterprises, for internal management purposes, there is an urgent need to change from extensive to intensive management mode, and the method and means of information processing have to become more modern, as well as the materials management, which must be updated, for the old materials management mode has been unable to meet the modern needs. In order to further improve the efficiency of the materials management in electric power enterprises, to timely and accurately get the picture of the material inventory, procurement, supply, and consumption and reduce inventory and backlog of funds, and to provide scientific decision-making basis for the managers, the enterprises need a scientific modern power supplies management system.From the materials management centre of the Electric Power Industry Group Company’s point of view, this paper uses material management system application of material management theory and information technology to establish and optimize the electric power industry group company.An effective power supplies management system, as an important means to modernize materials management, is able to achieve a major shift in its software from the type of bookkeeping accounting to management decisions, automating information management, covering the entire process of the materials management business so as to reduce the backlog of inventory, realizing full closed-loop supplies, whole cycle, full life management mode, improving the economic efficiency of enterprises. With such a system, the materials management of Electric Power Industrial Group Company can fulfill the requirements of digitization and intensification, and achieve standardized management.In addition this, through the establishment of information system, which guarantees the information management of the whole process from planning, procurement, transportation, storage, allocation, and distribution to the settlement, Group Company will be more scientific, standardized, and institutionalized in its materials management work. The application result indicates that the material management information system is effective and practical. |
